bundanon residency
Gang Festival pergi ke Bundanon untuk residensi. ini rumah kami, musicians cottage, dengan Deutsche Wagen nya.. kata Djuadi, "kita seperti orang kaya ya. Rumahnya bagus, mobilnya bagus". Djuadi benar, kita memang kaya.. kita kaya karena teman memperkaya kita.. Kita kaya TEMAN!!

Eruption Euphoria
Thanks to all the artists, all at Gallery FourtyFour, and all of you who came along to make "The Ring Of Fire" such a success!! I Heart Eruption Overload...

In a night of many highlights, I tihnk the most convincing eruption had to be Tega's volcano cake...(hell I reckon there's still some left over at Bill + George). The way it spewed forth all lumpy textured, with a pleasingly dramatic flow, bringing certain extinction to the jelly dinosaurs below...all in the egg whites I believe ;-)

Let them eat cake!
Recipe for edible foaming lava care of Judy P here.
You will need a small, short juice glass or a shot glass that will fit snugly in the center of the Volcano Cake (a glass 3" tall and 1 1/2" in diameter would be perfect). You will also need one small box of Jell-o, one small bottle lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda). Make Jell-o according to package directions. Let cool 15 minutes. When Jell-O is still warm(not hot), fill juice glass 1/2 full with the warm Jell-O. Pour in enough lemon juice so that the glass is almost full, or about 1/2" from the top. Place glass down into hole in the cake so lip of glass is flush with top of cake. You are now ready to produce the effect. When ready, put 1 tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda into the glass and briefly stir (1-2 seconds). Jell-O foam will immediately pour out the top of the glass and flow down the sides of the cake.

According to Kompas CyberMedia, Mbah Maridjan, born in 1927 and married to Ponirah, 73, is blessed with 10 children, five of whom are still alive, 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and now lives in Kinahredjo village on the southern slope of Merapi."
